Roger Williams

For her Colonist Report, Charlotte was Roger Williams, the founder of Rhode Island.

The real story behind this photo, though, is how we pulled the costume together at the eleventh hour. We ran to JoAnn's, where we bought a foam pirate hat, big buckles, and brass buttons. While Grammy sewed the buttons on an old vest, I taped the buckles to some ballet flats. It's amazing what a little pressure will do for your creativity!
