These days, 50 years of marriage is quite an accomplishment. I am proud of my parents to making it so far. I know it hasn't always been easy, but it's been worth it!
Right now, they are here to help us through my chemotherapy. It's not the best circumstances in which to celebrate a milestone anniversary, so we are saving the real celebration for this Christmas, when everyone's healthy and all the kids and grandkids can be there.

In the meantime, we kids did get together to arrange to have an anniversay gift delivered on their actual anniverary: eight dessert place settings of china that they can use at bridge parties. It's something they've been wanting for awhile. They weren't planning on fine china, but if a 50th wedding anniversary doesn't deserve a special gift, I don't know what does! And design-wise, I just love those round boxes that the place settings came in!
Happy Anniversay, Mom and Dad, and best wishes for many more!

Respect. And congratulations, Lor's mum and dad. You guys have a great family that backs-up your impressive milestone with the real deal. So happy you are here and supporting.
